Shadow is a kind person, unless you get on his bad side, then watch your back. He would never intentionally hurt someone and chances are if someone were in trouble he would help. However he has a kind of talent at letting his pride get to him. He can't back down from a challenge. He also loves being a thorn in the side of the faculty and staff. He also likes knowing things and is still a thief at heart and does his best to keep this secret but use his skill to piss people off. Shadow is also secretly working on a escape plan and is in need of friends and alliances but he is also believes the human race untrustworthy. He is stuck between his need to not only get himself out but the rest of patients and his inability to trust people enough to let them in on the plan.

[Preston Fionn]

Preston would probably think he's a pretty cool guy but I'm not sure how he'd strike Shadow seeing as he's quite the pest at times. They could bond over shared interests I presume, Pres is a former kleptomaniac and a current asshole to practically everyone at first - staff included.

[Maura Lee Berkhardt]

Maura is twenty and has been at the Asylum for the last few years. Her power is seeing tragedies (or just terrible events) occur before they happen. I feel like she and Shadow have the potential to be friends, but she might be turned off by his plan of escaping. She'd probably end up wanting to show him that people can be trustworthy, even though she has trust issues as well.

shadow & hutch

Hutch is one of the few doctors at the asylum who wants to help the patients instead of hurting them. However, he works directly with one of the most intimidating and powerful doctors at Winslow. He'd probably try to open up Shadow, especially because he's messed up with so many patients before. He would probably treat Shadow like it was his last chance of getting something right.

Shadow and Preston
I think the two could definitely be allies. I can see Shade being a little annoyed at first but the more he realizes that Preston also bothers the staff Shadow will probably recruit him for some tricks.

Shadow and Maura
Shadow has also been at the asylum for the past few years so chances are they've seen each other or perhaps interacted on a few occasions but not actually spoken to each other. Perhaps they could have heard stories about each other?

Shadow and Hutch
I think Shadow will do his very best to make that an unpleasant goal for Hutch! Because as much as Hutch might be trying to help Shadow wouldn't see it that way and he'd be constantly be doing things to get on Hutch's nerves.
